Hello, I’m Laurence R. I’m a former Doctoral Researcher (PhD student) in Immunology and Cancer, a former Bioscience Network Lausanne (BSNL) Event Organizer in career opportunities in Life Sciences. I am currently Business Intelligence Manager at Biopôle Lausanne in Switzerland.

Who I am

I’m Laurence R. living in Switzerland. I am passionate about sciences. So much passionate about sciences that, for a significant period, I was driven by the ambition to become a researcher. I also always wanted to live abroad and to master English speaking. That’s why in 2017 I enrolled in a PhD program in Immunology and Cancer at UNIL. Now as a Business Intelligence Manager, I am supporting the development of the Swiss Life Sciences ecosystem.

Quick Facts About Me

  • Before starting the PhD program, I was not an English speaker (The PhD program was in English).

  • I enrolled in the non-profit organization BSNL in 2019 to organize events and became president of the organization in 2021.

  • I purchased the domain lormina.ch in October 2022 with the concept for the platform in mind, but it wasn’t until January 2024 that I brought the idea to life by launching the website.

  • I was born in France. I now live in Switzerland.
