Life Science Career Day Lausanne

The Life Science Career Day is a large-scale networking and career guidance event for students and early-career researchers in life sciences, facilitating access to their first job in the corporate world/industry or public service and non-governmental organizations.

My role for LSCD 2022 & 2023

As BSNL President, I led a comprehensive effort to ensure the LSCD’s success. My responsibilities included:

Assembling and leading the LSCD team by hiring and determining key roles, including the LSCD Coordinator.

Training the team in event management, equipping them with the skills needed for a seamless execution.

Acting as the primary liaison between the LSCD BSNL team and our co-organizing partner from the Faculty of Biology and Medicine (FBM), encouraging seamless collaboration.

Overseeing the development of the sponsorship package booklet and strategically guiding efforts to secure both corporate participation and sponsorship, ensuring strong industry representation at the event.

BSNL’s key role in organizing the Life Science Career Day (LSCD) since 2012

Held annually at the SwissTech Convention Center, the LSCD attracts over 400 participants, providing a vibrant platform for networking and career development. Organized in collaboration with the Doctoral School of the Faculty of Biology and Medicine (FBM) at the University of Lausanne, this event connects students and early-career researchers with industry leaders.

BSNL plays a central role by engaging companies of all sizes—including start-ups, SMEs, and multinationals—to participate through exhibitor booths, oral presentations, and advertising opportunities, all aligned with a program co-developed with the Doctoral School. Additionally, BSNL secures sponsorships, ensuring the event’s financial support and success.
